What will you actually
have paid?

Advertised prices describe a moment. This adds up the whole term — the discounted years and every renewal after them — and gives you one honest number.

Presets use recorded rates. Edit any field to test your own.

This is arithmetic, not advice. It assumes the renewal price stays flat and excludes tax, promotional stacking and currency differences. Those three things usually make the total larger, not smaller.

How the number is built

Three inputs, one rule: the discounted rate applies only for as long as the term says, and nothing after it. If you buy a 27-month plan and compare over 36 months, nine months are billed at the renewal rate. That is the entire model.

Two things it deliberately refuses to do. It will not assume the renewal price stays flat for five years, because it probably will not — read the output as a floor, not a forecast. And it will not subtract a discount you might find later, because a calculator that depends on a coupon is a marketing page wearing a calculator costume.

The number worth remembering

If the discounted term is shorter than your comparison period, the advertised monthly price is not your monthly price. It never was — it is the price of the first stretch only.

Common questions

Why does the average climb so fast? Because the discount is front-loaded. On a 27-month term compared over 36 months, the last nine months carry the full renewal rate — and that rate is often 2–3× the advertised one. The average is a weighted blend of a cheap stretch and an expensive one.

Should I put in the renewal price if I do not know it? Then the tool cannot help you yet. Look for the renewal rate on the provider's pricing page, or in the account billing screen after signup — not on the sales banner. Our pricing records list the ones we have confirmed, and mark the ones we have not.

Is a longer term always cheaper? Per month, almost always. In total, not necessarily — a five-year commitment locks in a price you cannot renegotiate if the market moves. Compare the totals, not the monthly figures.
